Name: Amanda
Birthday: 10/13/1986
Gender: Female

Interests: I exist, isn't that enough? I don't really have any one hobby... I love to draw, sing, dance, act, read, and write (always). Oh, I like making people laugh (does that count?) and boys, always, definitely, boys... I'm pretty much normal anyhow, I like to chat with my friends, watch movies and whatever as much as the next person...
Expertise: Area of expertise? Nope. Don't have one. Let's just say that I'm in a long uphill process of trying to find myself (deep and profound, right?) and, hopefully, some sort of calling will gradually emerge from the tangled web that is my life...

PLEASE GO TO MY OTHER XANGA!!!!!

Its important. Promise.

Tuesday, December 06, 2005

My random rant of the day, if I had a random rant daily, would be: being lonely is the worst thing in the world.

I just want somebody.

And I want to be... something kinda sorta special.

But then it really is the same old thing.

And I really don't want to give people the wrong impression. Because I flirt with the most awkward people. (People I don't like like, etc. being what awkward means in this context of mine).

And... I just want to be held or something.

And there really is no one to talk to about it.

Or who would really care. Because it is, after all, the same old thing.

Don't you just hate that?

Anyway.

I'm in Memphis. At college. And at Rhodes. Fun, exciting, and all that, no?

Now, if you want to hear about things in my life, I'll be posting, probably more often there than here, on my other xanga, anchoretmara.

But - to tide you over until I feel inspired to do any posting at all - here is my class schedule for the fall semester, 2005:

MWF – British Empire and Its Enemies (History),* 8-8:50

MWF – Introduction to International Relations, 11-11:50

            MWF – Search, 1-1:50

            MWF – Women’s Chorus, 2-2:50

MWF – Imperial Idea in British Literature (English),* 4-4:50

            TR – Taekwondo, 11-12:30

            T – Model UN, 7-9 (p.m.)

                                                            *British Studies Learning Community Class

Also: R means Thursday in Rhodes Class Schedule Speak

Anyways.

Love you all.

Alright. So everyone's leaving Friday. Some people have already left (Mo! We miss you!). And I would like one last chance to get everyone together.

In honor of Wednesday's and LHC, I'll be at Whataburger at 1:30 tomorrow. I'll have stuff  I've borrowed - Aimee's DVD, for one - and... You'll all try and come right?

If you don't I will be forced to hunt you down. And I don't have time for that. I have so much that I need to do between now and Thursday that... I might just have a panic attack.

Anyways.

Please?

And I miss this xanga...

"There's always been a lot of misunderstanding about Lando's character. I used to pick up my daughter from elementary school and get into arguments with little children who would accuse me of betraying Han Solo."

Some things just have to be said.

Interesting things - did you know that James Earl Jones took acting classes to help him get over his stutter? And that his "death" was once announced during an NBA game? Trivia, yes.

So sue me.
